Problem Note 54488: Connection and parsing errors occur when you try to use in-database procedures with SAS/ACCESS® Interface to Greenplum

If the password that you use to log on to Greenplum contains special characters such as brackets { } or parenthesis ( ), errors occur when you try to use in-database procedures. The errors that might occur include the following:

ERROR: Error during in-database processing.
SAS_SQL:  Unable to convert the query to a DBMS specific SQL statement due to an error.
ERROR: Connection string, DSN or file DSN syntax or usage error
ERROR: Parsing failed at or near column 145: Columns 129-160 = "partial password displayed;SCHEMA=saslib;"
ERROR: Expected list item separator.

Workaround

Update your Greenplum password to remove special characters.
